Privacy note

Effective October 18, 2026

The short version: your videos never leave your device. We keep only what we need to run your account.

What we never collect

• Your videos, frames, or audio. ElleMotion reads and edits them inside your browser.
• Faces or face data. Face detection runs on your device. Nothing about the faces it finds is stored or sent anywhere.
• Your music. Songs you add to clips stay on your device, just like your videos.
• Tracking data. There are no ads, tracking pixels, or analytics on ElleMotion.

What we keep

• Your email address, to sign you in and send account emails.
• Sign-in codes, stored scrambled. They expire after 10 minutes and are deleted after use.
• Counts of recent sign-in code requests, so no one can flood inboxes with codes. They're kept under a scrambled version of your IP address and email, and deleted within two days.
• One sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. It's the only cookie we set.
• Your plan, billing status, and Stripe customer ID.
• How many free exports you've used, with a random ID for each clip saved during your trial. The ID holds nothing from the clip itself.
• If you get the founding gift, the shipping address you email us for it. We use it only to send the gift.
• Feature ideas you send from the app, with your email address, so we can read them and reply.

Who helps us

• Stripe handles payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see them. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Resend delivers our emails. It receives your email address and your sign-in code, and any feature idea you send us.
• Cloudflare hosts ElleMotion and its database. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Fonts and code libraries load from our own site, so no other company sees your visit. We don't sell your information or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete it within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records as tax law requires.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information anytime. Email [email protected].

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this note and its date. We'll email you about significant changes.
